The Pinnacle Camera Kit is an affordable pinhole camera kit for people who want to start their journey in DIY analog photography
Initial Concept
The kit was originally conceived as a larger, mailer-box kit. The kit contains ingredients for caffenol developer, photo paper, trays, a safelight, and a pinhole camera.
Incorporating Feedback
After conducting further research, it was determined that all of these components could be shrunk down and nestled in the camera itself to eliminate waste.
Electronics
The camera has a built in safelight and timer. The timer can be set using a touch sensor on the top of the device (darkroom mode) or automatically trigged by opening the shutter.
Construction
The camera is constructed in a nested manner to facilitate ease-of-use. This also allows the user to store multiple sheets of photo paper in the camera while on the go.
Materials
The camera is primarily laser-cut from balsa wood. The interior is coated with black card to add further light proofing.
Kit Components
Upon first opening the camera, the user will find vacuum-formed mini darkroom trays nestled in the wooden shell.
